The Business Associate, located at company headquarters in New Haven, CT, will be involved in nearly all facets of the organization’s operations. The Associate will support the research, business development, marketing and partnership teams, requiring superior organization and communication skills, an ability to multi-task, a team orientation and a startup mindset. AdvanceCT is a relatively flat organization, affording the Associate regular exposure to senior team members and direct involvement in high impact projects and important strategic initiatives. The Associate will gather data, conduct research and analysis, prepare and deliver presentations and represent AdvanceCT at meetings, events, and conferences.
Desired Candidate Qualifications
We are seeking individuals with experience using data, proven analytical capabilities and excellent communication skills. A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2-3 years prior professional experience is required. A working knowledge of business and economic data sources, experience with economic development and visualization software, and fluency with MS Office, particularly excel and powerpoint, are preferred. The ability to distill and synthesize complex information, summarize key insights, and communicate conclusions in clear verbal and written form is essential. Experience with projects such as demographic/economic/fiscal trend identification, business intelligence gathering, surveys, and industry and workforce analyses is a plus.
