Rachel is the Vice President of Research at AdvanceCT, where she and her team provide on-demand workforce, market, and industry data in support of AdvanceCT’s business development mission, as well as proprietary research into economic enablers and disruptors and statewide economic performance.

Rachel has over 15 years of real estate finance, asset management, and economic development experience. Rachel has been part of the AdvanceCT research team since 2015, conducting market and feasibility studies, economic and fiscal impact analyses, and financial modeling for economic development projects across the state. Prior to AdvanceCT, Rachel was a portfolio manager at Doral Bank, where she developed and executed a capital recovery plan for a portfolio of over 500 distressed small business loans. She is a former program director for real estate development at the Economic Development Corporation in New Haven, and served as assistant vice president of asset management for First Winthrop Corporation in Boston, where she managed a million-plus square foot commercial real estate investment portfolio.

Rachel holds a Master’s degree in international relations from Yale University, a Bachelor’s degree in international economics from Valparaiso University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. She is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Mandarin.

Rachel is a Hamden resident and previously served on the town’s Economic Development Commission. She is also a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, New England Public Policy Center Advisory Board.
