Position Overview

The Marketing Associate, located at company headquarters in New Haven, CT, will be involved in nearly all facets of the organization’s operations. The Associate will be involved in planning and executing events of all sizes and domestic and international travel will be required. The Associate will also support digital and social media strategies, requiring superior organization and communication skills, an ability to multi-task, a team orientation and a startup mindset. AdvanceCT is a relatively flat organization, affording the Associate regular exposure to senior team members and direct involvement in high impact projects and important strategic initiatives. With senior team members and independently, the Associate will prepare and deliver presentations and represent AdvanceCT at meetings, events and conferences.

Desired Candidate Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with experience planning and executing successful events and contributing to effective marketing campaigns as well as excellent graphic design and communication skills. A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2-3 years prior professional experience is required. Experience with economic development and marketing software, and fluency with MS Office, particularly excel and powerpoint, are preferred. The ability to communicate in clear verbal and written form is essential.
